Compass Club West

LOCATION

Western Australia's Shark bay precinct will stage it's inaugural 42 and 21 kilometre run to Australia's most western point.
Competitors will encounter blustery winds straight off the Indian Ocean, sprawling plains, rocky cliffs and lengthy sand tracks amongst some of Australia's most stunning landscapes.

There are currently two event routes approved, with the final route decison to be made early 2025. 42km Marathon competitors will complete two laps of the Steep Point camping precinct, starting at the Shelter Bay campground, heading north west up to the famous Steep Point signpost, then south down the 4WD tracks, before cutting back east returning to the Shelter Bay campgrounds. For the 21km runners, it is only one loop. The second route option is a 21km loop route through the Francois Peron National Park, just north of Denham.
