Alison Brendom Alves dos Santos — known to fans as “Piu” — is one of the leading 400m-hurdles specialists of his generation. The Brazilian world champion (Eugene 2022), two-time Olympic medallist and multiple Diamond League winner combines world-class hurdling with increasing speed on the flat: since 2024–26 he has posted competitive performances from 200m through 400m and remains a central figure in the Warholm–Benjamin–dos Santos rivalry that defines the event.
